Terms & Conditions

Terms of Use

The website exponentialsummit.cz (hereinafter "the website") is operated by Happiness at Work s.r.o., Company ID: 06916163 (hereinafter "the operator"), whose contact details are listed in the website footer.

The operator reserves all rights to the website content. Without the operator's prior written consent, any further publication, reproduction, distribution or transmission to the press or other media, or any other communication to the public of any copyrighted work or part thereof accessible on the website is prohibited — including dissemination via email or SMS, framing, copying to internal or private networks, or storage in any databases.

The website is located in the Czech Republic and is intended for use within the Czech Republic. Any rights and obligations between the operator and third parties are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, and any disputes shall be resolved exclusively by Czech courts.

Personal Data Protection and Processing

The operator guarantees the protection of personal data for all its customers, partners, and affiliated entities. Further information is available on request via the operator's contact email listed on the website.

Commercial Terms

In connection with the goods or services offered, the website always provides a description of the offered service, its price (indicating whether it is inclusive or exclusive of VAT) and the currency in which payment is accepted (typically Czech crowns).

A contract is concluded upon confirmation of an order made by the website user by the operator or a cooperating entity. An order also includes registration for participation in the Exponential Summit conference made by a user through the website or the operator's registration system.

The following rules apply to participation in the Exponential Summit conference:

Right of Withdrawal

If a website user who purchases a ticket to the Exponential Summit conference is a consumer, they have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days before the conference date. However, the consumer does not have the right to withdraw from a contract for the provision of a specific service (which includes the opportunity to attend the conference) if it has been fulfilled with their prior explicit consent before the withdrawal period expires (e.g. if the consumer attends the conference before the expiry of the said period, they may not subsequently withdraw from the contract).

Payment, Delivery, and Fulfilment

Payment for a conference ticket is usually made by non-cash transfer. The service consists of organising the Exponential Summit conference, and the website user receives it by being given the opportunity to attend. Any non-attendance by the user does not affect the operator's fulfilment of the contract.

Photography and Recording

By attending the Exponential Summit conference (the term "conference" for these purposes also includes all related activities such as participant arrivals, breaks, side events, and subsequent social gatherings), the user agrees that the operator and entities cooperating with the operator have the right to take photographs and make recordings (including audiovisual recordings) of the conference, which may also capture the user, and at their discretion to further process, use, and transfer these to third parties, or publish them via any medium. The taking and use of photographs and recordings is reflected in the contractual terms (particularly in the ticket price), and accordingly the user has no right to any compensation for them.

Delivery Costs

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the product description on the website, no delivery costs are charged.

Complaints Policy and Warranty Information

Any claims arising from defective performance must be submitted in writing to the operator's address listed on the website. The complaint must include the claimant's name, address, email and any other contact details, the specification of the service (typically the conference name and year) to which the complaint relates, and a description of what the claimant considers to constitute defective performance. No specific complaint form is required.

If it is necessary to send any document or physical item to the operator in connection with a complaint, this must be done to the operator's address listed on the website.

The claimant will be contacted by the operator regarding the handling of the complaint at the address provided in the complaint, without undue delay.

Given the nature of the service, no warranty is provided; rights arising from any defective performance are otherwise governed by the relevant provisions of the Civil Code.
